It is alarming to see comparisons of the Chevrolet Volt PHEV with battery electric cars when the comparison focuses only on the electric range and ignores the other important differences. Already the Chevrolet Volt is moving us in that direction. These examples of versatility explain why we call the PHEV a new paradigm. Conclusions.

Were told that the agreement includes nods of acceptance from the likes of Volkswagen, BMW, Ford, General Motors, Fiat, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Eon, Vattenfall, EDF, Npower, Endesa and Enel, and while theres no time frame for when itll be introduced, were pretty stoked to hear that at least something has been decided upon. The hybrid models available today use lead-acid ornickel-metal hydride batteries that are are proven, reliable, and fairlycheap, but their limited storage capacity means that the cars’ driving rangeusing electricity alone is short. Electric cars remain dependent on the development of better,affordable batteries.
