Coulomb Technologies to Provide 4,600 Free Home and Public Charging Stations Through ChargePoint America Program

Charging station installation, in most regions, will be paid for by the individual or station owner, according to Coulomb. ChargePoint charging stations are available now for installation in all nine designated regional metropolitan areas of the US. The remaining stations will be installed by September 2011.

Because there are only a few Chinese-made EVs available now and likely in the near term in the US, there will be very little actual impact on automakers and overall sales of electric vehicles in the US. Currently only the Polestar 2 and Volvo S90 T8 PHEV are being produced in China for sale in the US.
