In Switzerland, retrofitting the EA 189 engine was mandatory. Cars from General Motors (Opel, Vauxhall, Chevrolet), Renault-Nissan and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles emitted almost twice as much NO x into the environment on cold days as on warm days.
