If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem. Many others are not so careful.
