We expect the Government to then require manufacturers to end the sale of conventional petrol and diesel vehicles by this earlier date. Require the automobile industry to contribute to a new clean air fund, following the ‘polluter pays’ principle, on a scale that adequately compensates for the health costs of diesel pollution.

This is different from anything Ive ever seen in my 40 years in the automobile industry." ( Detroit Free Press ). They will buy a car and rent or lease the battery and the cost of leasing the battery will be the same as, or less than, the cost theyre paying today for petrol. This is unusual. People wont buy a full car.

Theyre not trying to send men to the moon, theyre building an ELECTRIC CAR that uses a petrol motor they already make charging batteries supplied by LG all bolted into a vehicle platform they also already have in production. needs to have an indigenous automobile industry, and not merely "transplants". Never again.
