Just weeks after announcing plans to showcase its solar EV technology to the public in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), startup Aptera Motors is taking things a step further. With DRIFTx underway later this week, Aptera has already shared news that includes expanding to a new market outside its native US— the Middle East.

The UAE plans to use it for travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Once it begins flying in the US, India and the UAE will be the next destinations for e-VTOL, subject, of course, to govt approvals. It is working with auto major Stellantis to make air taxis in other places too, including India.
