Toyotas Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries are considered "non-hazardous waste" [See "high voltage electrical systems" ]. Companies could decide that conversions void some or part of your car orhybrid system warranty—unless they worry that will tarnish its green image. Are the batteries recyclable?
