It shouldn’t be surprising when you scan the list of EVs (particularly the down-list models where there are several Audis and BMWs as well as the pricey GMC Hummer ), but the average sales price for an EV during the first half of the year was $66,000, according to Kelly Blue Book. Jeep Wrangler 4xe leads PHEVs.

Three European brands, Audi, BMW, and Mini, round out the top 10. Audi and BMW both declined from last year. While the Chrysler 300 improves to “Average,” the Pacifica minivan falls to “Below-Average.” GMC inches up one spot to number 25 due to average or above reliability for the Terrain, Yukon, and Yukon XL.

GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. Next up will be the ID.Buzz electric minivan. Mercedes is starting to roll out its EQ line and Audi already offers is expanding its E-Tron lineup. I’m hoping for the latter. It’s certainly the opposite of what Harley-Davidson is doing.
