The plant has been a model for sustainable production since the production of the Audi e-tron began. 2018 saw the birth of the Audi e-tron.

Series production of electric motors officially started in Audi’s Gy?r, r, Hungary plant. The electric motors are produced on floor space of 8,500 square meters using an innovative modular assembly production concept. The company has invested a double-digit million amount to set up the motor production facility.

As of 2018, Audi Brussels will produce exclusively the commercial version of Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV ( earlier post ). Audi will transfer production of the Audi A1 from Brussels to Martorell in Spain; in 2014, Audi Brussels produced 115,378 Audi A1 models.

After several delays, Audi began “a new chapter in drive production” with the start of electric motor production for the PPE in November. The Győr, Hungary, site supplies both Audi and Porsche.
