It seems like a great idea in theory - the US Government is backing up its calls for the public to move to green cars by buying some of its own. However, the practise of the Government Services Administration’s (GSA) orders for 14,105 fuel efficient vehicles has come in for criticism. Leave a comment with your thoughts.

The plug-in version will only be available for fleet service and will not be sold at retail to the general public. The fleet models will be part of a test bed for Toyota and future development of the plug-in Prius may at some point lead to a consumer model. The plug-in Prius is a separate model from the all new 2010 Prius Hybrid.
