Reducing Carbon Emissions Quickly Is the Goal – Not Quarter-Mile Times (Commentary)

My real point, however, of this short commentary of an article is not about safety and speed – but about reducing carbon emissions. The fast acceleration capability of electric vehicles was a key component to reducing the “golf cart” image of EVs that existed before the Tesla Model S emerged in 2012.

It's a pity that we have to remove this, but the size of the golf-cart batteries clearly interfere with the latch. The technical articles at Pelican Parts describe how to replace the pressure-based solution with an electric pump from a fish tank. The 914 uses pressure from the spare tire (??!!)
