An electric motorcycle manufacturer, Energica, will now expand to Japan and Australia thanks to a partnership with Ideanomics. Energica Motors is a leader in the electric motorcycle market. Japan’s long history of motorcycle racing was another factor that attracted Energica to the country.

The all-new HPPEe will be deployed first in Japan and India, where the swappable battery signatories, including Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki, could sell their bikes alongside the new infrastructure. In Honda’s electric motorcycle announcement earlier this year, they had planned for numerous motorcycles to come to the U.S.

On the other end of the spectrum, there were no announcements by electric car pioneer Mahindra Electric, in 2020. Their electric car launches were postponed to 2021. The electric motorcycle scene has disappointed. For example, there is no news from Tork motorcycles.
