The trade wars, lower economic growth and tougher emissions regulations came long before the COVID-19 crisis. Demand in Latin America fell by 30% to 318,000 units, following restrictions in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, and more recently Brazil and Mexico. While Japan, Korea and the CIS countries recorded very low decreases.
