Expect about 14 hours with a regular, 120-volt household outlet. So driving around town, being stuck in stop-and-go rush hour highway traffic or coasting down hills recharges the battery.

The Pacifica Hybrid has a regenerative braking system, which recharges the 16-kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion (li-ion) battery. So driving around town, stuck in stop-and-go rush hour highway traffic, or coasting down hills recharges the battery. The battery recharge and electric mile range are metered instantly by dash gauges.

The Niro EV does not qualify for Federal tax credits, but qualifies in some states for rebates and a HOV sticker. The Niro EV is sold in all 50 states.

This 800-volt technology is currently only shared by the Porsche Taycan, but will soon be available on many EVs. The Ioniq 5 qualifies for the federal $7,500 electric vehicle tax credit as does the Mustang Mach-E.
