The Volkswagen Group has signed a contract for vehicle assembly in Algeria through a joint venture with SOVAC S.P.A., Volkswagen’s sales partner in the region. From the spring of 2017, the joint venture company SOVAC Production S.P.A. will produce selected Group models.

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group set a new export sales record in December with 11,000 cars being exported during the month, which also helped the company increase its export sales over the course of 2012 by 164%. SEAT President Luca de Meo also announced at the company’s annual media conference that the CUPRA Formentor, the new CUV that was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, will be built at the Martorell factory.
