While we’re sure they’ve still a few things up their sleeve (after all, the phrase “We can’t comment on future product” is a PR mainstay), the news does give us a good idea as to what’s in store – plus a shot of the 2025 Civic Hybrid. Looking ahead to the 2024 calendar year, Honda has laid out some of its plans for the forthcoming 12 months.

Developed by Honda R&D, the new 10AT features a low-friction design, which will deliver outstanding drivability in new Honda and Acura vehicles. It will appear first in upper grades of the all-new 2018 Honda Odyssey minivan, launching this spring, and will be applied to additional light-truck and car models in the future.

This new goal builds upon earlier-announced plans for Honda and Acura vehicles to have highly-automated freeway driving capability (SAE Level 3) by 2020. Honda Sensing was first introduced on the 2015 Honda CR-V and has since been applied to the Honda Civic, Pilot SUV, Ridgeline pickup and just-launched 2018 Odyssey minivan.
