Chevrolet will add a new clean diesel engine to the US lineup in 2017, featuring a B20-capable 1.6L Variable-flow oil pump enhances efficiency. Piston-cooling oil jets contribute to optimal performance, efficiency and refinement. That helps ensure the oiling system maintains full pressure during extreme driving conditions.

The new engine family, including naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants, will make its way into five GM brands and 27 models by the 2017 model year, said Steve Kiefer, GM vice president, Global Powertrain Engineering. By 2017, more than 2.5 Shenyang, China; Szentgotthárd, Hungary; Toluca, Mexico; and Changwon, South Korea.
