In two packages of awards, the California Energy Commission approved more than $44 million to expand the hydrogen fueling infrastructure and increase the number of alter alternative fuel vehicles on the road in the state. Fueling infrastructure must be in place to support the successful introduction of these vehicles.

General Motors uses these on its heavy-duty Chevrolet and GMC pick-ups as they can handle the stopping needs when towing as well as dissipate heat under repeated use.
