US car maker Ford has some hard work ahead if it is to meet new CAFE regulations and still sell the SUVs and pick-up trucks that are so popular across its home country. The Federal Government now requires a fleet average of 35.5mpg by the 2016 model year - this is an increase from today’s average of 25.3mpg.
