Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, the EPA gave the all-new minivan a rating of 10 in its Green Vehicle Guide.

This will be Kia’s first plug-in hybrid for global markets when it goes on sale in the second half of 2016. The Optima HEV is expected to go on sale across the majority of Kia’s global markets in the first half of 2016.

Overall, the number of hybrid models on sale in the US has declined (from 47 in 2015 to 31 in 2016), but average sales per model has increased (up to 11,194 in 2016). This is our first dedicated green vehicle. It is the first vehicle available globally that has three available powertrains for it. Ioniq Electric.
