During his tenure at the company, he oversaw the design and construction of the Clinch River Breeder Reactor project, a sodium-cooled nuclear facility in Tennessee. He helped establish electrical engineering graduate programs in Egypt, France, and Tunisia. Navy during World War II and the Korean War before joining Commonwealth Edison.
