California, along with 16 other states and the District of Columbia, have formally launched a long-anticipated lawsuit against EPA over its proposed rollback of emissions rules for 2022 through 2025, according to a new report in the Washington Post.

The consent decree embodying the settlement was filed today jointly by the United States and the California Air Resources Board in the US District Court for the District of Columbia. Additionally Hyundai and Kia gave consumers inaccurate information about the real-world fuel economy performance of many of these vehicles.
