Fisker receives huge funding boost

The US Department of Energy has awarded the California based manufacturer a conditional loan of $528.7million for the development of two lines of plug-in hybrids – the Karma and the new Project Nina vehicle. Both cars must be delivered by 2016. Fisker hopes to make 75,000-100,000 of these plug-in vehicles a year beginning in late 2012.
