Wal-Mart Testing Two Different Hybrid Systems and Three Alt Fuels on Class 8 Trucks

The five Peterbilt Model 386 heavy duty diesel-electric hybrids are being tested in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Southern California and the Baltimore/Washington DC region. Wal-Mart will test 15 Class 8 trucks retrofitted by Environmental Development Group to run on Reclaimed Grease Fuel made of waste brown cooking grease from Wal-Mart stores.

Clean Energy to build new CNG stations for multiple transit agencies and large school district; agreements with trucking, refuse and others

The City of Spokane, WA, will begin fueling 20 solid waste trucks at a recently opened CNG station that was designed and equipped by Clean Energy. Garden City Sanitation in Santa Clara, CA, signed an operations and maintenance agreement that will serve 45 refuse trucks that consume 350,000 DGEs a year.
