Pinnacle says it will publish technical papers during the coming year, and plans to present at the SAE 2012 World Congress.

In order to further reduce its CO 2 emissions in this vehicle class, the gasoline engine will require a low-cost, basic hybrid solution. Equally, our plug-in hybrid system is debuting in the Porsche Panamera. Only the diesel engine will achieve this in the compact class, but the gasoline engine will come close.

Already Porsche, Mercedes and other high-end automotive manufacturers are making such PHEVs because of the availability of low-cost electricity from wind and solar and the availability of government incentives which make them competitively priced in the beginning. This bit of advanced technology can be low cost at low power.
