In addition to a recent electric car deal with NISSAN Motors ( NSANY ), Portland General Electric, the Oregon state governor and GE have also announced a joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors ( MMTOF.PK ) to develop and sell the Miev electric car with 85 mile range by 2011. By 2011 look for a larger THINK Ox.

We also found magazines ( Utne Reader anyone?) I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. The USA got the leap on everyone else with solar, wind and other fossil free energy as well as electric cars and other alternative fuel vehicles.
