The morning session started out with an hour long press conference, the highlight being the unveiling of the Volt’s 230 mpg preliminary EPA city fuel economy finding ( earlier post ), as well as a tour showing selected elements from the studios of the four GM North American brands: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac.

Some of the EVs we saw in GM’s Design Dome (Cadillac Celestiq and probably the unnamed Buick crossover) are clearly targeted for China. GM’s EV Sales Since 2010. In GM teaser videos we saw hints of future electric GMC and Chevrolet pickups and what clearly looks like a Camaro.

At least one of these vehicles will be produced in 2010 for consumers in North American markets, followed by production for European markets. Reinforcing a commitment to bring to market a broad array of advanced electric vehicles across all of its brands, Chrysler has introduced five electric-drive vehicle prototypes since the fall of 2008.
