Blending the MPG of SUVs and small cars understates the real consumption and rewards automakers for building gas hogs and unsafe micro cars which makes people want to buy "safe" gas hogs. Haul or tow -- buy a Silverado. The first example saves 20 gallons per 1000 miles and the second only saves 19. WTF do they need ANOTHER $10.3B
