General Motor eCrate conversion kits – by late 2021 GM plans to offer battery and motor kits for classic cars, allowing an easy EV conversion. Kia Soul EV – as a petrol wagon the Soul received a luke warm reception in Australia, but with an all-electric drivetrain it promises so much more. Due in 2022.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Mazda Ford Partner was reported to be developing Series PHEV based on Mazda 5 MPV platform. Batteries not ready. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. No announced plans.
