Over the last three years, EPA has provided nearly $300 million in grants and rebates to modernize diesel fleets with cleaner heavy-duty trucks and equipment, according to EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler. Since the first year of the DERA program in 2008, EPA has competitively awarded more than 850 grants and 450 rebates across the country.

Camicia Professor of Mining and Mineral Engineering in Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering, and his colleagues developed a hyperbaric centrifuge that can efficiently dewater coal as fine as talcum powder. In October 2008, Yoon was elected to the National Academy of Engineering. The hyperbaric centrifuge addresses those issues.
