Beginning in MY 2005, technology has been used to increase both fuel economy (which has reduced CO 2 emissions) and power, while keeping vehicle weight relatively constant. Daimler had the biggest improvement in adjusted CO 2 emissions performance from MY 2011 to MY 2012, with a 43 g/mi reduction, followed by Honda with a 35 g/mi reduction.
