When the car is filled at the pump, an internal system analyses the mix of the two fuel types and adjusts accordingly. In 2005, their sales increased even further, accounting for approximately 54% of all new car sales. Hydrous ethanol has been used in the United States as a transportation fuel for at least one hundred years.
