It was a Manufacturing Failure, as GM NEVER planned to build the car in Volume, so No Economies of Scale were ever achieved. Toyota Prius modders have already been adding larger batteries so the vehicle can run on battery power. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level.
