Waters worked on the battery for the General Motors EV1 and also worked at Ener1, which makes lithium-ion batteries. In May, the company plans to show off a commercial prototype at the Electronic Vehicle Show in Stavanger, Norway. The car will go 30 miles on batteries before the gas engine kicks in and be street-legal.
