A plan is necessary to provide certainty to business and consumers that a future transport system will be affordable, convenient, safe and sustainable. New Zealanders need to understand that the future of transport will look different than it does today. We also don’t need to ‘reinvent the wheel’. Japan has a 2035 deadline.
