General Motors will debut its two-mode plug-in hybrid technology—originally intended to appear first in a Saturn VUE, prior to that brand’s sale—in a new Buick crossover vehicle in 2011. GM will announce final fuel economy estimates, as well as additional vehicle details such as name and pricing, later. V-6 flex-fuel engine.

The morning session started out with an hour long press conference, the highlight being the unveiling of the Volt’s 230 mpg preliminary EPA city fuel economy finding ( earlier post ), as well as a tour showing selected elements from the studios of the four GM North American brands: Chevrolet, GMC, Buick and Cadillac.

General Motors Chevy Volt series PHEV, which it calls "extended range electric vehicle" (EREV), part of "E-Flex" multi-fuel platform. Plans Saturn Vue PHEV-10. See Chevy Volt for latest. Aims to get Saturn Vue on road in 2010; no production goal. I want to stick around to see the Volt come to market.
