It might seem that simply plugging in your Chevy Volt or Ford Escape before bedtime would do.

France’s auto industry is probably the largest Western auto industry that goes completely under the radar in the US. EV market share went from a stratospheric 45% to escape-velocity 63%, crossing 100k on a population of barely 5M. If Norway also had an auto or EV-battery industry, no country could catch it in the charts.
