Roskill: graphite prices could push higher on tightening markets for batteries & electrodes

The tight supply/demand situation for graphite electrodes is expected to persist for much longer than many market observers expect. Meanwhile, needle coke is being increasingly diverted into the battery market. Price rises are the result of a perfect storm of conditions in China, Roskill said.
