Tesla and Daimler to launch plug-in electric cars

The companies, working as partners, will bring two plug-in hybrid vehicles to life in the next few years beginning with the Smart EV roadster. This will be followed by another affordable, zero-emissions electric vehicle. It is expected that the Smart EV will be on the road by the end of this year.
