Porsche AG will stage the world premiere of a parallel full hybrid model at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The world premiere in Geneva is being complemented by the 918 RSR hybrid racing car concept ( earlier post ), making its first public appearance in front of a European audience.

Porsche has introduced the 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid sports car, the first of six or more plug-in hybrids coming from the Volkswagen Group. Porsche had unveiled the concept version of the 918 Spyder Plug-in Hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. The front electric drive unit drives the wheels at a fixed ratio.
