Arc has built the first models of its much-anticipated Arc Sport 500hp electric wake boat, and we got a chance to take it for a quick demo in Long Beach, CA and holy heck, this thing rips. After getting a quick demo ride from Arc, it was time for me to grab the helm and go for a spin.

It has an interesting gizmo where the 800 V DC gets converted to 230 V AC – and can be accessed via a normal 15 A plug. kWh of juice. Hands were off the wheel and feet were off the pedals during the demo. I am told that it can do a DC charge at 240 kW! 0 to 100 kmph time is 4 seconds. 800 V architecture

We also tried DC fast charging the I-PACE at a Tata Power fast charging station. Video: Jaguar I-PACE : Impressions | DC Fast Charging Demo Day 1 We left Pune on the Deccan Queen train and reached Dadar at 1000 hrs. This should be able to juice up the battery overnight. (90 Fast chargers are a must in bigger EVs.
