At the Marrakech Climate Change Conference (COP22), eight nations—Canada, China, France, Japan, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the US— signed a Government Fleet Declaration , pledging to increase the share of electric vehicles in their government fleets and calling for other governments to join them.

Drive Electric has advocated for a comprehensive plan to decarbonise transport for the past two years. Our submission and inputs relate specifically to accelerating the uptake of e-mobility, but we recognise that decarbonising transport is much wider than that. The Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP) has the opportunity to be that plan.
