After spending the past year and a half converting a Porsche 914 to an electric vehicle, I decided to expand my horizons by designing an open-source electric vehicle (EV) conversion kit for a commonly used car. I hope this project furthers his vision of emission-free electric vehicles for people. Damn the torpedoes.

My vision has always been for Oregonians to be able to drive from Astoria to Ontario and from Portland to Ashland emission free,&# Mr. Kulongoski said. “Families could be making that drive in an emission-free vehicle manufactured in Oregon by Oregonians.&# In most conversions cost is about the same because of needless weight.
