Nissan Motor Co., provided an update on its progress under the Nissan Green Program 2010 (NGP 2010) mid-term environmental plan. Nissan also announced the introduction of an automatic transmission (AT) model with a clean-diesel engine in the Japanese market, planned for spring 2010. Mid-term results for minimizing CO 2.

Nissan; the Pima Association of Governments ( PAG ), which represents the Tucson, Arizona region; and ECOtality are forming a partnership to promote the development of an electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the area. Nissan will introduce EVs in the United States in 2010 and will mass market EVs globally two years later.

Renault-Nissan continues to strengthen its foothold in the electric vehicle market by forming a partnership with the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG), which represents Phoenix, Arizona.
