A team from Universita degli Studi di Pisa (Italy) and Rolf Reitz at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are proposing a novel combustion concept—Homogenous Charge Progressive Combustion (HCPC)—based on a split-cycle principle to control HCCI combustion in diesel-fueled engines.

The ULRE will incorporate a Bladon Jets patented, axial flow gas turbine engine coupled to a high-speed generator utilizing SR Drives’ proprietary switched reluctance technology. Bladon Micro-Jet Engines are 100% axial-flow, gas turbine engines for use in a variety of applications.
