In almost every state in the union, a motorized three-wheeled vehicle is classed by law as a motorcycle, even if it has a fully enclosed and surprising spacious cabin with front, rear and side windows; two doors; side-by-side bucket seats; a steering wheel; seatbelts; and airbags. Thats good news.

Weve kept the summary table below generally up-to-date for passenger PHEVs, but not for BEVs, motorcycles or larger vehicles like buses and trucks. Daimler/Mercedes Took over Daimler/Chrysler Sprinter PHEV program. He said he plans to discuss the idea with [Caroll] Shelby and [Lee] Iacocca. But its ready now. We can do this.
