They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. None of the new electric cars are planning to use old-tech lead acid batteries. Chevron owns the NiMH patents and have not allowed EV size batts to be built. April 10, 2009 11:21 am Link Kaare- Lithium Ion batteries do not contain lead (unless it is in solder connections) and do not contain acid.
