The redesigned front has a new diamond-pattern grille and fascia that house chevron-shaped LED daytime running lights and fog lamps. In the rear the horizontal LED taillights have a bold design, with a faux skid plate and more chevron-shaped back-up lights. Stylish lines. My tester’s Deep Cerulean color elicited complements.

The trajectory remains clear, and the pace has quickened. Plug-in cars are inevitable. Will we get our money’s worth? It’s far from a slam dunk.

The US’s largest renewable developer on the IRA The Biden administration’s landmark climate change law, the Inflation Reduction Act, has created a US clean energy manufacturing boom, thanks to the generous tax credits and other incentives. The Republican Party says it’s going to work to repeal it. But time will tell.

At a press event on Monday, Oregon’s governor, Ted Kulongoski, was talking up Nissan’s previously announced partnership with the state. Chevron owns the NiMH patents and have not allowed EV size batts to be built. According to Nissan, the company plans to introduce its upcoming electric car in Oregon in late 2010.
