I was a big part of building the first-of-its-kind—at least in the Western world that we knew of—heavy-duty charging site in Portland, Oregon. Iron phosphate batteries are great because they’re durable, they’re cheap. When I started at Daimler Trucks, a member of the board came by to visit Portland from Germany. It won’t work.
