Nevertheless, over the next ten years we will focus on a drive mix consisting of even further optimized petrol engines, plug-in hybrid models, and purely electrically operated sports cars.

Alfa Romeo has unwrapped its all-new Milano, its first all-electric car and third SUV. Created to replace both the old MiTo and Giulietta hatch, it will sit beneath the current Tonale SUV. Like the Giulietta hatch, the small SUV will feature a pair of hidden rear door handles that are tucked away within the rear C-pillars.

Porsche’s all-electric Macan has reset the performance benchmark for the mid-sized SUV category with an all-electric line-up that blasts to 100km/h in as little as 3.3 It will form the basis of a new breed of all-electric SUVs that will soon include the Cayenne and a yet-to-be-named seven-seat SUV currently codenamed K1.
